Poetry about discrimination…

Why do humans 

conquer, divide 

acting on impulse 

echoing others 

wrongfully so 

emotions welling 

deep inside... 

desperately alone 

~ 

Animosity, sexism 

racism and more 

ruinous to those 

we don’t even know 

and why, to what end 

hatred must go 

for centuries past 

taking their toll 

~ 

For humanity’s sake 

we tumble and fall 

injustice and heartless 

a shameful sin 

heartache inflicted 

we all feel the pain 

human spirit falls 

what have they done 

to us, after all...  

~ 

And what of our 

children learning 

to hate 

come together 

hand in hand 

for Heaven’s sake 

before we have lost 

so much that is good 

~ 

Coming together with 

loving care 

heart and soul 

together we will 

survive, lest in disunity 

forever fall...
