Oh, the cherished memories of our beloved pet dog(s)!

Oh, my dear heartthrob
so precious you are
to love, to pamper
from Heaven above
when I hold you close
and whisper your name
your inquisitive gaze
shows your love
all the same
~
My emotions
your nearness
bringing such light
and such love
your cuddle possessive
deep down inside
my fingertips tassel
a rub of the chin
~ 
When I look deep into
your chocolate eyes
feeling your warmth
and contentment
inside, and yes
I want you and need
you, my pride and joy
for your spirit and
tenderness, so oft
I cry
~
So many miles
does our journey forge
by my side you step 
lively, only fonder
we go
that tidbit of tail
trembles with glee
cross the miles
lively, just you...
and me  ♥
