Resolving Pain and Upset in Relationships Poetry…

Have you ever experienced the fear and anxiety of emotional struggles in a relationship, so much so that you cannot turn and look your partner deep into his/her eyes? Did you talk it through honestly and rationally? When love still lingers, heart and soul, can you both apologize and promise to find a way? “Why all the heartbreak? How did we get here

I don’t understand

our love’s turned to fear

please take my hand

I question our upset

and you wonder why

what is it you regret

and why all the lies

~

My tears, full of pain

I love you, please stay

by my side, in my heart

just don’t walk away….

~

We promised forever

to love, not betray

don’t tell me it’s over

if you love me…stay

~

I’m sorry we fought

our hearts in pain

so sad and distraught

our tears fall like rain

I need you now and always…

please love me the same
