A Day of Healing on Remembrance Day 2025

Remembrance Day 2025; A Day of Healing…

Lest we forget...

~
Each year on November 11th, we pause to reflect on the loss of loved one(s), ours or those of another, a heartbreaking time of mourning, lingering sadness, yet a celebration of the beautiful memories of the times we had in our lives alongside men and women who served so that others may live.

We all have feelings of anger and disagreement whether warfare has its rightful place in our lives, our time. Yet, sadly, war for whatever reason comes to us when resolution through meaningful dialogue, trust, and forgiveness fails to serve its intended purpose.

Regardless of an individual's functional contribution in such times, whether to provide services for all those affected by the conflict, or the men and women who so bravely and honourably accept being drafted or voluntarily wish to contribute on the battlefields, where poppies grow, regardless the outcome.

We must find our own ways on this difficult journey to heal, though not forget, all those who took up arms, forging ahead to bring peace, prayer, and solitude to all those so sadly affected by our beloved fallen.

Grieving our lost cannot bring the fallen back home to us, though our blessed memories and the sacred burial grounds of memorial gathering will help us to remember, to rationalize, and pay tribute to all those heroes who came home with injuries and disability, and to forever cherish those eternally gone from our midst.

May God forgive and help us in our time of mourning, and to see the light and healing through remembrance.
